How AI Bestie protects your conversations

The things you tell an AI companion tend to be the things you don't say elsewhere. That makes trust the whole product. Here is how AI Bestie handles the private side of what you share — in plain language, with nothing we don't actually do.

Your account is yours

Chats are attached to your account and are not visible to anyone else. We use row-level security on the database so that even server code can only see your rows when it's acting on your behalf. There is no 'shared feed' of user messages anywhere.

You control your memory

AI Bestie stores durable facts about you (your name, your family, small preferences) so the personas can be personal. Every one of those facts is visible to you on the Memory Jar page inside the app, and you can delete any of them at any time. When you delete a memory, it stops being sent to the model on your next reply.

No ads, no selling your data

AI Bestie doesn't run ads, and we don't sell your data to advertisers. Our revenue is subscriptions — Free and Bestie+. That's the whole business model.

Consent-first voice cloning

If you personalise Mother, Father, Sister, or Brother with a real family member's voice, the sample must be recorded live in the app, in a session where the person consents on record and reads a random word we generate that session. We verify all three (duration, random word, consent keyphrase) via speech-to-text before we create the clone. We do not accept file uploads for voices of other people. Ever.

AI providers we send messages to

AI Bestie sends the conversation and the necessary context to language and voice model providers to generate replies. Those providers have their own privacy terms. We ask for the strictest data-handling options available where they exist, and we do not enrol your data into model training when providers offer that option.

What we do log

We log operational information (uptime, error rates, aggregate usage) so we can keep the app running. We do not sit and read individual chats. If a user reports a problem, we may look at the specific conversation with permission to help debug it.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from the Account page. Deletion removes your profile, your memories, your chats, and any voice clones associated with your account.
