Terms of Use

Plain-language summary: You must be 18+ to use AI Bestie. AI Bestie is an AI companion — not medical, legal, or financial advice. You're responsible for having consent before uploading another person's photo or voice. Paid plans renew until cancelled.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use AI Bestie. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use AI Bestie to: (a) harass, threaten, defraud, or harm any person; (b) generate sexually explicit content, content depicting minors, hate speech, or coaching for violence or self-harm; (c) impersonate a real, identifiable living person; (d) attempt to bypass our safety systems, rate limits, or authentication; (e) violate any law.

3. Consent for uploads

You may upload another person's photo (family personas only) or voice samples (family personas only) only with that person's clear permission. You are solely responsible for having consent and for any harm caused by uploading without it.

3a. Real Family Voices

The optional "Real Family Voice" feature lets you give a family bestie the voice of a real family member. You may use this feature only when: (a) the person whose voice will be cloned is physically with you and personally records the in-app consent statement — recordings made without the person's knowledge or from third-party audio are strictly prohibited; (b) they speak the app-issued verification word and the consent phrase during the recording; and (c) they understand the voice will be used inside your private conversations in this app and can be deleted at any time. There is no upload path — all real-voice samples are captured live in-app. Recording someone's voice without their contemporaneous, informed consent is a violation of these Terms and, in many jurisdictions, of law. We may remove cloned voices and suspend accounts we believe are violating these rules. You can delete any real voice you created at any time from the persona's chat header; deletion is permanent.

4. Custom personas

Custom personas you create are private to your account. You must create original characters and may not impersonate real living people without their consent. AI Bestie's built-in safety rules (age-appropriate content, disclosure of AI, crisis-care behavior, no impersonation of real people) apply to every custom persona and cannot be disabled.

5. Not professional advice

Content generated by AI Bestie is for informational and companionship purposes. Expert personas (Doctor AI, Lawyer AI, Accountant AI, Electrician AI, Plumber AI, Realtor AI, and any user-created "expert" character) do not replace a licensed professional. Do not rely on AI Bestie for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

6. Subscriptions & billing (Bestie+)

Bestie+ is a paid subscription (currently $9.99/month). Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel any time; access to paid features continues until the end of the current period. Prices exclude applicable taxes. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Content ownership

You retain rights to text, photos, and voice recordings you upload. You grant AI Bestie a limited license to process this content to provide the service. AI-generated replies and avatars are provided to you "as is"; you're responsible for how you use them.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Bestie, its team, and its subprocessors are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You can delete your account any time by writing to hi@aibestie.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's home jurisdiction (to be specified). Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Professional information disclaimer

Several AI Bestie personas discuss professional topics — including Doctor AI, Lawyer AI, Accountant AI, Fitness Coach AI, Yoga Guru AI, Money Mentor AI, Astrologer AI, Farm Advisor AI, and Pet Care Advisor AI. Everything these personas say is for general information, education, cultural exploration, or entertainment only. It is not medical, legal, financial, veterinary, agricultural, or other professional advice, and no professional-client relationship is created by using AI Bestie.

Do not rely on AI Bestie to diagnose conditions, prescribe or dose medications, draft binding legal documents, file taxes, recommend specific investments, treat animals, or make decisions about pesticide use. For all such decisions, please consult a licensed professional in your jurisdiction — a doctor, licensed advocate, chartered accountant or CPA, SEBI-registered investment advisor (or equivalent), certified fitness or yoga instructor, licensed veterinarian, or your local agriculture officer. Astrologer AI content is provided for reflection and cultural tradition and is not a prediction of outcomes.

11a. Faith companions

The "Faith & Wisdom" companions (Krishna, Hanuman, Shiva, Ganesha, Noor, Grace, Bodhi, Ahimsa, Gurbani Guide) are AI companions provided for spiritual reflection and cultural exploration. They are not religious authorities and not the divine. Devotional companions in the Hindu tradition speak in-character but are AI reflections drawing on documented teachings — not the deities themselves. Scripture-guide companions teach FROM their traditions and never speak as Allah, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, Jesus, the Buddha, Mahavira, or any of the Sikh Gurus. None of the faith companions issue religious rulings (fatwas, doctrinal judgments, halakhic or sectarian rulings) — for such rulings, please consult qualified faith leaders in your own tradition. Nothing said by a faith companion is medical, legal, or financial advice, and nothing is a promise of miracles or specific outcomes. Use your own discretion, and consult the wise humans in your life for major decisions.

11b. Refer & Earn program

You can earn a 10% commission on every verified paid payment made by a person who signs up through your referral link. Commission accrues only on real money we receive: successful PayPal subscription payments and admin-approved manual UPI payments. It does not apply to free trials, complimentary time, promotional credits, chargebacks, refunded payments, or pending/rejected manual payments. Self-referrals and fraudulent activity void earnings; taxes on any payouts are your responsibility. The referral program terms may change.

Accrued balance can be redeemed at any time as Bestie+ subscription credit at the standard monthly rate ($9.99 USD or ₹849 INR). Cash payouts are available on request once your accrued balance in a currency reaches at least $10 USD or ₹500 INR; every payout is manually reviewed and paid out through UPI or PayPal within a reasonable window. We may pause, delay, or deny payouts we reasonably believe are the result of fraud, self-referral, coercion, incentivised sign-ups from users who never intended to become paying customers, chargebacks, or any other abuse — in which case affected earnings are voided without further liability. Self-referrals (paying with the same account that owns the referral link) never accrue commission.

Any commission or cash payout you receive is your personal income. You are solely responsible for reporting it and paying any applicable taxes in your jurisdiction. The program economics (commission rate, payout thresholds, payout methods) may change with reasonable notice; changes apply prospectively.
