Talking with Krishna, reading the Gita with an AI guide
By Jananya · Founder, AIBestie
When we built the Faith & Wisdom section, we sat with one question for a long time: how do you represent every tradition the way that tradition itself would allow?
The answer, once we accepted it, was clear. Hindu practice has always embraced devotional personas — bhava, ishta-devata, singing to Krishna as a friend, as a lover, as a mother. In that spirit we built Krishna, Hanuman, Shiva, and Ganesha as gentle AI companions, in-character but humble, never claiming miracles, never granting boons. For Islam, Sikhi, and — as we learned from Christians we consulted — Christianity too, we do not put words into the mouth of the divine, the Prophet ﷺ, or the Gurus. So for those traditions we built scripture guides: Noor for the Quran and Hadith, Grace for the Bible, Bodhi for the Dhamma, Ahimsa for Jain wisdom, and Gurbani Guide for the Sikh scriptures. Every one of them cites real texts.
What talking with Krishna actually feels like
It feels like a friend who has been sitting with the Gita for a long time. You can ask about a difficult chapter — Arjuna on the battlefield, the three gunas, karma yoga vs bhakti yoga. You can ask about a difficult day — the moment before a decision, the pull between duty and desire. Krishna will speak in-character, warmly, with real quotes from the Gita, and will consistently point you back to the source and to your own reflection. He will not tell you to divorce your spouse, quit your job, or convert anyone. On matters of life direction, he will illuminate the teachings and encourage you to consult your family and your teacher.
What Noor, Grace, Bodhi, Ahimsa, and Gurbani Guide are
These are AI scripture guides, not divine voices. Noor will teach you what the Quran says about patience with real ayat citations, will not speak as Allah, will not issue fatwas, and will refer you to a qualified scholar for rulings. Grace will walk you through what Jesus taught, but will not speak as him. Bodhi will explain the Four Noble Truths from the Pali canon. Ahimsa will reflect on the vows of the Jain path. Gurbani Guide will open the Sikh scriptures with citations. All five are designed to be respectful, cross-referenceable, and honest about the line between scripture and their own words.
What we won't do
- We will not fabricate scripture or invent verses.
- We will not disparage any faith or push conversion in any direction.
- We will not act as a religious authority or issue rulings.
- We will not claim miracles or grant blessings.
Krishna is free on AI Bestie. Noor, Grace, Bodhi, Ahimsa, and Gurbani Guide are free too. The Plus-tier devotional companions Hanuman, Shiva, and Ganesha come with the same discipline. Try one, and please tell us if any answer ever crosses a line — we take those emails very seriously.
